All Volunteers at St. Joan of Arc in both the parish and the school are now required to have a Virtus Online Account.
This account is where you will find access to the Protecting God’s Children class that all volunteers have to take before volunteering. It is also where you can have a background check done, also a requirement. It is also where any documents and forms will be electronically kept and e-signed.
For those who do not have a Virtus account
Go to www.virtusonline.org > click on FIRST TIME REGISTRANT > follow the on-screen instructions.
After completing the registration process, return to your Virtus account home page > open the TOOLBOX tab > on the left side of screen click TRAINING > click to begin the training session. This training must be completed in one sitting. Failure to complete the training will require you to start over from the beginning.
For those who do have a Virtus account
Go to to your Virtus account home page > open the TOOLBOX tab > on the left side of screen click TRAINING > click to begin the training session. This training must be completed in one sitting. Failure to complete the training will require you to start over from the beginning. You should also e-sign anything you are asked to sign.
Background checks will be done before volunteering on site at St. Joan of Arc. If you receive an e-mail from Virtus Online or a prompt when logging into your account asking you to update your background check, please do so. You will not need to put in your Social Security Number.
